Shake it Off! Ritual and Dance to Celebrate the Fall Equinox

The Fall Equinox marks a time when cultures celebrate the bounty of the harvest that will sustain them throughout the winter and is a time when light and darkness are perfectly balanced.

Would you like to feel more balanced and in-sync with the rhythms of nature?

Would you like to shake off tension and pandemic fatigue? Move and stretch and open up to a deeper connection with the Spirit World and that which is greater than all of us?

Join us for this evening of ritual, marking the change of seasons, celebrating all that we have, releasing that which doesn't serve and opening up to more of what we do want. We'll call in the directions, inviting in spirit helpers, power animals, angels and ancestors, then set intentions and dance our prayers of release and desires.

Gentle Yoga @ So. Portland Community Center

Start your day off right with a gentle yoga class: stretching, strengthening and improving your balance. Whether you're new to yoga, returning after taking a break or have been practicing for years, this class is for you. Join us and enjoy the many benefits that yoga offers: lower blood pressure, increased flexibility and  improved balance and focus to name a few.  The goal is to have you leave class feeling peaceful and energized.  

Drop-in option is currently available: $12 pp, per class.

Sessions run for two months at a time:  Sept - October; November - December; etc. for the entire year.

Fabulous Fall Gentle Yoga: Mat Class /Chair Yoga

Get back into the swing of things this fall with this gentle yoga class, geared towards all levels. Whether you're new to yoga, returning after a break, or because your chiropractor keeps suggesting it....this class may be just right for you.  Experience deep relaxation after you've moved mindfully and loosened tight hips, hamstrings and shoulders. You'll receive clear, gentle instruction on postures and stretches and receive healing energy at the end of class in savasana (relaxation pose). Class size tends to be small and the focus is on finding a yoga practice that works for you.  Mats and props provided.

You'll have the option of using a chair for the class for a more gentle option, using the mat, or joining via Zoom. 

September 13 - October 25 pricing:
$72 for all 6 sessions or $14 per class (drop-in)*.
*No class on October 4

November 1 - December 20th pricing
$96 for all 8 sessions or $14 per class (drop-in)*.
